Rediscovering True North
Revisiting your strategic plan is a good idea during periods of transition (regardless of how extreme). Organizations, regardless of size, history, diversity, industry, perform best when senior management is aligned and share a vision that builds excitement and provides short and long-term direction for all employees.
Before you reopen your doors and get back to work, take a beat and focus, align, reset direction and prepare for how you will measure your success. For many businesses, who the target market is and what their specific needs are may have shifted. Certainly how they are receiving your services may be different.
As a leader, are you ready to pivot? Knowing where your true north lies can help you bring your company to new heights.

WHAT WE ARE READING
GREAT LEADERS KEEP LEARNING
Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap and Others Don’t by Jim Collins
This book addresses a single question: can a good company become a great company, and if so, how? Based on a five-year research project comparing companies that made the leap to those that did not, Good to Great shows that greatness is not primarily a function of circumstance but largely a matter of conscious choice, and discipline. This book discusses concepts like Level 5 Leadership; First Who, Then What (first get the right people on the bus, then figure out where to drive it); the Hedgehog Concept, and the Flywheel.
