Reflecting back to a few weeks ago when COVID-19 was just gaining traction in the U.S. news, no one believed this would be our new reality. Now, most of our clients have the majority of their employees working from home and are having to quickly enhance their technology systems, adjust business processes, perfect remote company leadership communication, and ramp up plans for whatever comes next.

Workplace Culture – Try to Keep it Normal
Your workplace culture comes from the collective beliefs, attitudes, and practices of the people within your company. This was valid prior to the current crisis, and still is. The only difference now is that your practices (a.k.a. your behaviors) are experienced and interpreted by others virtually. Maintaining and building on the positive cultural aspects needs people, and especially leaders, to be more deliberate and thoughtful with communicating expectations, setting priorities, and mitigating ambiguity. But mostly, leaders need to be human and spend more time working on the emotional side of the equation.
